Gah... I just couldn't manage to draw a proper official looking Pidgeot for this tutorial. Its proportions look off, but I hope it isn't too terrible. Anyway, here's Pidgeot's tutorial. First, draw the body. It looks a little bit like a human heart (for lack of a better term). Next, draw a circle for the head. You can draw two aid-lines in the head to determine the location of Pidgeot's eyes and beak. We'll get back to that later. Also draw two semi-ovals on either side of the body. These will later become the wings. Now connect the head to the body. Notice how Pidgeot's head is quite close to its body. This is because Pidgeot has a short neck. In fact, this PokΓ©mon is quite a stocky looking bird. The neck should be thick, and the chest should be wide. This indicates Pidgeot's muscular build. Draw two smaller ovals to form Pidgeot's upper legs. They should be quite short. Also draw a line on each wing to split them in half. This will become de dividing line between Pidgeot's regular brown feathers, and its yellowish flying feathers.
Now draw the beak. Make sure it is located in the middle of the face. Ideally, it should also cover the spot where the vertical and horizontal aid-lines cross. The eyes should be situated on either side of the beak and should preferably rest on the horizontal aid-line. Add the lower legs and the feet and also draw the rough outline for the tail. This is where things get a little bit more complicated. We'll start with the feet. Draw small circles where the end of each toe will be. Pidgeot has three toes on the front of each foot and one on the back. Add details to the beak (keep in mind that Pidgeot does not have nostrils), define the shape of the head and add Pidgeot characteristic head feathers. They should be long and they should flow like human hair. Now complete the picture by finishing up the toes, adding all of the feathers and markings and don't forget to draw in the pupils.
I'm sorry if all of that seemed a little bit fast, but I hope the picture will help clear up any confusion.
