Ah, they weren't available for all that long.  The Game Boy Color quickly replaced it.

Yeah! Nintendo released that one only in Japan.
My next Game Boy after the Pocket was obviously the GBC.

Nice. I've kept Zelda DX in my Game Boy Pocket for about ten years. Pfftt, the batteries are still alive even. O.o
