Actually I've read Batman for years since the 70's if not earlier. I also watched the Camp Batman show and loved. it. I EVEN own a BATMAN Triva book. People are so intrenched in the "Batman" idea they forget it is a symbol and it can represented in so many ways. Good job - BAMH! POW!

ok, you say you're a batman fan. Then tell me what color is the batman's symbol (batman, not batwoman), then tell me if there is a difference between batman's symbol and batwoman's symbol.

The BATMAN symbol is either on of the following - A Gold oval with a bat in the middle, a yellow oval with a black bat, orange oval with bat, or no oval and just a black bat which can be stylized or not. One of the movies had it as silver I think.
The ORIGINAL Batwoman did not have a symbol. Recently, she has had a stylized red bat symbol. There has been times when you can find her depending on the artist a gold bat or black bat on her chest. Yeah, you can mix her up with BATGIRL. They are not the same person.
The Batgirl now has has a gold symbol outlined in black, or a black symbol outlined in gold depends on the arts. The movie version I think was silver. If I remember right, the one from the TV Series has a gold bat symbol on her purple suit.
The Superman man symbol you linked to does not count.
The Batwoman symbol is almost tribal and red in the current issues. Depending on the artist, it can be black but goes across her entire chest and is still stylized. The Batman is black no matter WHAT background it is in unless you're George Clonney and get a silver one, or whatever color that was.

... Like you wrote, there is no red in Batgirl. Gold, silver, black but no red

Actually my entire point of the comment was - don't fixate - the comic world changes depending on the artist. Barbara Gordon could very well get an artist who goes - man that symbol should be red.

actually... Red is more the color of Batwoman while yellow is for Batman and Batgirl^^ and you used the special form of the bat which is also batwoman feature^^
I know it's "new" but hey... you can explain your point of view about the changes, would be appreciated
