August 1st, 2001.
The first day I met Katie.
We were on the playground for recess when I saw her talking to a few kids. Me, being alone and slightly nervous because I didn't know anyone, walked up to her and waved. She gave me an odd look before waving back and going back to talking to her friends. I pouted and thought for a moment before tugging on her sleeve, asking her if we could be friends. After hesitation she agreed as long as I would change what I wore; she being a total tomboy and me being as girly as possible. This was the first day we became friends.

Summer of 2004.
We were in 3rd grade when I asked her to come over so we could hang out. I was wearing a pink shirt and shorts and she was wearing dark blue and jeans. We hung out, watched tv, played together, messed with Jessy, and at one point I decided to ask my mom to go to the candy shop that I liked so much, since I never brought Katie there before. When she agreed as long as I took my phone, i nodded and grabbed my pink and gray phone on the way out. We walked to the store and looked around, having a great time, and the storeclerk there was a really nice old man who knew me very well so he allowed us to take a few candies for free as we left. On the way home we got lost and i kept freaking out while she calmed me down. We eventually got home okay after calling my mom.

Around December 22nd, 2008 if I remember correct.

After being seperated for 3 years, my parents agreed to go up to Lake Orion again to go hang out with Katie and Kayla. Ecstatic as we arrived at the hotel, we were in the main room when katie and her mom showed up. I practically squealed and hugged her tight, very happy to see her again. We hung out at the hotel, went swimming in the pool, and had fun before we went to Kayla's house. We hung out outside at Kayla's when me and Katie decided to act our plan we had for a while; to convince Kayla we were gay and dating each other. Kayla, of course not able to believe such, told us that she would believe us if we kissed. To which, Katie responded by promptly catching me off-guard and kissing me on the cheek.

Katie, thank you for being there for me throughout all these years. Thank you for being the first person I call when I need someone at 3 in the morning. Thank you for letting me be your friend even though you didn't like me at first. Thank you for letting me help you and give you advice when you need it. You're one of the best friends a person can have.

These three pictures are three scenes that I remember really well in my head from spending my time with Katie. Every day I get to spend with her in real life is so great, and I can't wait to see her again; if not as soon as we hope, my mom said we're going up to Lake Orion again this Christmas probably.

This took me about three hours to make overall, with no breaks or anything. Katie was having a pretty rough day today so I made this to cheer her up. I hope she likes it. <3
