Raylan finds his daughter after Rowena's call to arms. He knew how distraught his daughter would be, if given the chance he would have spoken to her before offering to join the party to Riverfell but there was no time.
Raylan: "You know why i have to do this"
Indigo: "i know why. i just wish you didn't have to"

But to protect what was most precious to him he had to end this threat.
