Well, it's pretty awesome for a first try! The water looks beautiful and more importantly, real! The sky looks pretty good too for a first try. The clouds are life-like as well, from a sky-watcher's point of view and not a meteorologist's [they can be picky d:]. I don't understand why it's brighter, paler in the back though. It looks nice, but I just can't figure out why it's paler, since the sun is so close to us. Speaking of which, I think the sun and its reflection are unbalanced. Perhaps it's the perspective or the brightness, but it's what I think.
You did all right on the land! Especially the one on the left, I like that one the most because of the way the sunlight hits it. It makes it look very pretty. (: The one in the far back looks fine, you did a good job rendering it [twexler helped with the word!] into perspective. I like the land to the right less though. I find it looks strange with so much shadow. It helps understand the sun's position though [I'm learning how to understand terragen! d:].
Right now, I'm hoping my monitor's not being weird or half the stuff I wrote will have been weird and not so true. :\ It's a great first 3D piece though, it makes me want to try!
