Description Left look:
"Lemon Torte"
Inspiration - [link]
Notes - Body is muted gold silk, with dramatic draping. I traded the jacket for a scoop neck/back, and oversized pouf-silk sleeves, which are layered and transparent. Accessory is a multi-strand staggered-bead necklace.

Right look:
"Raspberry Cheesecake"
Inspiration - [link]
Notes - Antique white lace, sewn down for the bodice, but full and ruffly for the skirt( see detail for what the lace looks like up close). Deep red silk ribbon accents.

I kind of wish I'd chosen some different inspiration, the two dresses are a little too close in color for my taste.

Lemon Torte is delicious. Rather like the dress? The back is very nicely done, I would jump a girl we--- forget I said that. I like it though, seems very simple, and yet beautiful. Although I suppose that may just be my taste? The spiral as it comes down is very nice, not sure if it would stay there, but on a stationary model, it really does accentuate the waist. Good job on the jewelry too, just enough to be interesting, but not enough to say "I'm a rich -----"

Having only worn a dress once in the past 17 years, I can't really comment on comfortability (it's a word now) but it looks like the right one is being held up by her boobs. Which does not seem very comfortable. But who am I to comment on that part?

Anyway, the only weird thing that strikes me is her posture. Cheesecake's legs seem to be bent to her left, in a rather un-human-ly way. Maybe I'm just seeing it weirdly, but it throws me off. The ruffles are very nice.

Overall, I have to say, I rally like the contrast. Cheesecake is very much a "look at me" dress, while Lemon is a "while I'm not telling you to look at me, you're gonna anyway. I'm that pre- (no, not the right word) beautiful." The hair, I think, fits these as well.

I cannot wait to see the cheesecake dress colored, it's going to be everything I want from a dress and more. I dunno, but the white and red combo always makes me think of Maria in Westside story, and I love it, super romantic and feminine and beautiful as can be. I gotta say that lemon torte kinda reminds me of the architecture challenge, but with a jacket (hey I loved that dress though). I do love the idea of that high transparenty sort of neck alot, but the way it is now is a little dracula-y (naturally it will look less so colored) and I'm not sure why that is. Maybe I just need to see it in pastels, but it might be it's proximity to the sharp line of the jacket and the sharp neckline. I can imagine it IRL though, and it's really chic and soft and beautiful, so props for that.
Oh what brilliance is that cheesecake dress... WANT. Want a lot. It also reminds me a tad bit of Jeffrey's last dress in PR, the red white and blue one? Because it's really pretty and light and red and white. The one thing I can possibly imagine might enhance that look (I'm so in love w/ it right now!) is some red ribbon around the waist or the hips or something where it transitions from sewn down to ruffly. I feel like that might enhance the body of the woman some more.
