It's been a while since I've posted something that wasn't for an art jam. In honor of Kirby's 25th anniversary I commissioned tireimisu to do a redesign of one of the characters from the series. This character is named Keke and is one of the more obscure enemies from the franchise only appearing in two games: Kirby's Dream Land 3 as an enemy that gave Kirby the Clean ability and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards as a cameo; nothing else after that. Humanoid Kirby characters are always interesting to me and the fact that she hasn't appeared in anything else (not even as a cameo) after 64 made me take a lot of interest in her.

This design is actually based more off of her Crystal Shards design (which has no artwork besides her tiny in-game model) where she had black cat ears, a black dress, and red shoes. I imagine this is close to what she would look like if she appeared in the Kirby of the Stars/Kirby Right Back at Ya! anime had it continued, where I also imagine she'd be a villain in Dedede's stead because of what happened at the end. Heck I even think she'd use magic since she's pretty much a witch so she even has a wand here. So here's to hoping Keke (and the Clean ability) appears again someday. Until then she'll be remembered in fan art. And yes her motif is based off exactly who you're thinking of.
