Description
Before Caruso had time to react, jaws slammed shut onto his neck. He roared in pain and tried to fight back, trying to strike Kista with his spiked tail. But each swipe of the tail missed, even at this close range.

Kista pulled Caruso over to the edge of the river bank. Caruso struggled against her, trying to get free. But Kista only clamped down harder, drawing thick, dinosaurian blood.

Another step, and they both slide down inside the water. A loud splash was heard as they both went below water, almost completely submerged save for Kista's back and tail. Using all of her strength, she shoved Caruso's head onto the slippery surface of the river.

Caruso tried to scream in pain, but bubbles came out instead, floating up towards the surface. He closed his eyes tightly as the pain increased in his neck. He could feel a hot, thick liquid flowing down his neck. He didn't need to see it to know that it was his own blood.

Caruso continued to struggle, his feet clawing and kicking at the sandy ground. But he couldn't get enough footing to get up to his feet, especially with Kista holding him down. It didn't take him long to realize Kista was going to drown him. He opened his eyes up a crack, and realized Kista would need air too; she was completely submerged.

Kista glared down at her prey. Caruso was a good fighter, she admitted. But he was weaker than she was hoping for. Killing him was only going to bring mild satisfaction. Oh well, at least she would get a good meal after this. It would all be over in a few minutes.

Caruso started to increase his struggling as he started to gasp for breath a few times. Kista narrowed her eyes in satisfaction. Caruso would struggle to keep himself from breathing in the water, but she knew it was only a matter of time before he would continuously take gulps until he lost consciousness. And a little longer, he would be dead.

Then she heard a loud screech in the air, and she paused, so did Caruso. Although he couldn't see what was going on with his eyes still closed, a dinosaurian grin came onto his face. He knew that screech anywhere. Another screech sounded out, causing Kista to look up. Through the watery surface, she could see a wavy green image. It was the Pteranodon.

Before Kista could react, Buzz opened up his long, jagged beak, and slashed across Kista's back, producing a long gash across her spiky back. Kista released Caruso and roared loudly in pain, splashing her tail into the water as she reached up.

After being released, Caruso immediately kicked his feet into the ground and managed to move enough to get his head above the water. He opened his mouth wide and took in a sharp, deep breath. He looked over at Buzz, who was now flying over Kista, screeching at her to keep her attention.

'Thank you, Buzz...'
