There is literally almost nothing to say about this thing other than the fact that they are generally very slow thinkers.I'm not joking.
A predator could be coming after them and they just sit there and look at it, only deciding to be terrified for their lives only seconds before the predator gets their teeth and claws on it, and for many of them it's actually too late to escape.
It's amazing this species is so numerous and not on the brink of extinction.
To make things worse, they tend to be absolute jerks to beach-goers.
If their not pooping on sun tanners or into the open mouths of old people taking naps in their chairs or hammocks, they're shooting full blast Water guns / Hydro pumps at children in order to scare them off so they can steal away their ice cream treats or hotdogs.
That kind of behavior can be seen here:
Oh yeah, and it only gets worse from there.
Every Spring these literal flying Raticates from hell will all gather up to produce from their horrible gaping mouths the ear-splitting screeches from the unimaginable depths of the Distortion world that is their mating call for hours on end at night for about 2 weeks and then afterward a mated pair will then produce up to 6 to13 eggs (okay, well that kinda explains why they aren't extinct) to create life anew and then restart the horrendous cycle that is the life of a Wingull / Pelipper....
No seriously, fuck this bird.
Or better yet, just don't live anywhere near Dewford town where the numbers for these things is off the charts.

Good lord, you've brought back terrible memories of the Pelippers in 4th gen...
Those things ALWAYS wanted to fight.
they would never let me and my team run away from a fight. and as soon as we would get their health down to the red zone they would immediately use Protect and Roost to restore their health and then Water pulse/ Wing attack us to oblivion.
Those were some dark ass times.

I know, that's just what makes this so much fun! I love doing it!
Although it'd be dangerous as hell (Animals with superpowers, awful crime organizations left and right, a practically dreadful economy, and literal gods that can be captured in devices the size of baseballs at the hands of mere 10 year old children), I guess this kind of just shows how much I'd love to actually live in a real Pokemon world...
But then again, I'm dumb and wimpy and would probably end up being eaten by a Caterpie or something on the first day, so yeah, a big, fat 'N-O-P-E' for that. XD

The funny thing is that I feel kinda 'meh' about the regular ones (strange for me considering that I tend to oggle and swoon at anything with even the slightest hint of Sky blue color in its design), but I actually really love the lime green color of the shiny ones...

I don't understand why everyone hates Pelipper so much xD
I mean, it is not the best PokΓ©mon, nor in battle or design, but at least it's not as tedious as Lickylicky or those craps. I actually believe Wingull is kind of cute.
However, good job on this one! That description made me giggle more than once, mostly because i can relate it with some birds that live around my house and are annoying as hell, but we don't kill them 'cause they're not THAT terrible

If anything for me it's more of a 'meh' kind of Pokemon.
I don't really hate it but I don't exactly love it either, It's just something that's part of the game that you either have to beat, catch or ignore in order to progress further within the story of the game (But I can say I do fancy the shiny version a little!)
As for the harsh description of it, well, every region has it's own set of 'regional birds' and I get the feeling that like real birds, not all of them can be very cute, fluffy and friendly.
Also, I know the main message for much of the Pokemon franchise is to love and cherish Pokemon of all kinds, which can be a lot of fun in its own right,
but it's also a bit of fun (saddening as it might be sometimes) to design a Pokemon world in which it parallels a lot of our own world, where the human and Pokemon world don't always tend to get along.

Around here there's these ugly eagle-like things that live everywhere!
The only good thing about them is that they hunt doves, so they help to control the population.
They're all but cute, fluffy and friendly xD

They're VERY annoying to many of the people of Hoenn.
In fact they're so overpopulated that not too long ago they were made one of the very few Pokemon in which people are allowed to kill on site (so long as they eat it afterward or feed it to their own Pokemon) in order to try and reduce the horrific numbers.
But they reproduce so quickly this method of culling them has barely even put a dent in the population.

I have a fond spot for the Wingull line but only because Wingull/Pelipper was my first shiny ever as a kid.

I swear to god, shiny Wingull/Pelipper is positively illusive for me.
I've come across a lot of shinies (My favorites being my Shiny Ninetales, Haxorus and Manecric), but I have yet to come across that tricky little lime green sea bird (Next to sky blue, lime green is my absolute favorite color, which is why it kinda burns a bit to not have already encountered this thing in its shiny form).
My first shiny ever was a Shiny Magikarp...caught like, right after catching the Shiny Gyarados in Heartgold.
That was a good 3 years ago, and I still can't decide if that was lucky or just purely pathetic on my part.

They're actually already legal for hunters, but they reproduce so quickly that hunting them has barely done much of anything for the problem.
