Description Spinda are Pokemon that are very well known (and loved) for their curious and playful behavior.

Also known as the 'Dizzy Dangah' by many of the earlier Hoenn residents, They're more popular for being pets and companions than actual battlers. very rarely will you actually see them in the fighting ring. Of course, that doesn't exactly mean you should take them lightly, like many Pokemon they can still be considered dangerous if provoked into protecting themselves or their loved ones.

A hit from one using a Dizzy Punch attack is enough to leave someone dazed and confused or hours on end,
and one hit of Double Edge or Thrash from one these small beasts, can still do a lot of damage.

Though they can be rather feisty when they feel threatened, other than that, they are Pokemon that tend to have very child-like behaviors. they love attention and are always in the mood for being babied by their trainers.

One of the most interesting things about them is that no two Spinda have the same spotted patterns on their bodies, each are as different as each humans' fingerprint is different. though normally, many of them will have the same bright red color on their fur which, along with their sometimes musky scent and high-pitched sqeaks, makes it a little easier to help locate one another.

Though not all Spinda have that bright red color.
sometimes, a 'Shiny' Spinda will be found, and their spotted patterns are often a bright lime green color.
and even rarer, a 'Purple Rarity' will come about, these Spinda are no different in behavior but their purple fur make them very much sought out, even more so than the Shiny counterpart. One Purple Rarity Spinda, was sold by his original trainer for a whopping $100,000,000!

Other Random Facts;

- Spinda are known for their 'wobbly walk'.
when they feel uneasy or threatened, they will walk around in a wobbly or shaky kind of style, moving around as if they are dizzy or intoxicated. this is actually the move Teeter Dance, used to confuse foes in order to give them the chance to escape a potentially dangerous situation. though they are very much capable of walking in a straight line when they need to.

- All Spinda are Polydactyly meaning they all have two thumbs.
these extra thumbs make it easier for them to grasp onto trees when either feeding on their favorite leaves and berries or sleeping.

- When using Hypnosis the swirl patterns on their eyes will glow and create the illusion that they are spinning, confusing the enemy even more.

- It is thought that Spinda's closest relatives are Snorlax, Ursaring, Beartic and Pangoro, all of which are Ursine-like.

- Many people often mistake the swirl markings on its face as its eyes. but in fact its real eyes are just squinted.

Thanks!

I LOVE bears!
alongside wolves, hyenas and hoofed animals, bears are at the top of the list (especially Grizzlies!) for my favorite animals.

The main inspirations for my own design for Spinda was thanks to using many pictures and info of Sun bears, Koalas and Sloth bears as reference. though admittedly the idea for the purple rarity comes from an image of this Polar bear I found a while back: news.xinhuanet.com/english2010…

Also, I just really like the color purple, it's just such a pretty color!

The smaller one can be a little hard to miss at first glance, but when you do see it, it can sometimes come as a shock to others not expecting it...

Though, think of it this way, from now on when you do something awesome, you won't be getting a 2 thumbs up, instead you'll get a 4 thumbs up!

IKR?

This was done completely out of boredom, I'll admit that.
but it feels a little like I have a greater appreciation for it after I've been doing a little more research on it and getting its design down pat.
before, I kinda just saw them as little wobbly punching bags and easy horde EXP for ORAS...

I mean, yeah, they're STILL easy EXP punching bags, but y'know...cute looking!

Totally! Hehe, I really love a lot of your Pokemon stuff, and the next time I run into a spinda I'm going to think of your adorable designs for the little punching bags!
