Description
A new drawing for my main character from a new RP I started with some close friends.

Ruli here is a Saiyan. I actually chose him and tried to draw inspiration from artwork of Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Quest artstyle. His passing really messed me up (among millions of others all over the world). Dragon Ball was what got me into everything, anime, writing, drawing, and I’ve met so many friends because of shared interest in his many series’. Without Toriyama-san, I wouldn’t have all the joy that I do now.

The reason I went with Dragon Quest over a DB reference pic is actually because I’ve been playing through them all with one of my best friends. I’m up to 5 now and have been loving the series. I really liked 6’s uniqueness for its main character though and chose it for the reference… even though it’ll be a bit before I get to Dragon Quest 6.

All in all, I’m really going to miss Toriyama-san… I wish his family and friends well and all those who grew up and were inspired by him.
