Bio: Mercurius is a shadow pokemon born in Pyrite City of Orre and was part of the terrorist group that attacked the Orre region several years ago. From birth, all Mercurius knew was to fight and kill, believing that he was nothing more than a weapon. That is, until his heart was purified. Due to being a shadow pokemon, there are many different side effects that some pokemon experience, but for Mercurius, his life was drastically shortened, as most of his internal organs began to fail. He tried everything to stop his fate of dying, but all hope seemed lost until meeting a certain pokemon who was interested in the shadow pokemon project. This pokemon asked if Mercurius would like the possibility of extending his life at the cost of returning back into a shadow pokemon once more.. After many experiments, the pokemon deemed the Yanmega as a failure and tossed his unconscious torn body somewhere in Kalos, where he was eventually discovered by a Pancham and his younger brother. After a few days of being nursed back to health by the Pancham's parents, he awoke angrily, activating his Hyper mode state and killing the two and lighting their house ablaze, only sparing the children. When his Hyper mode subsided and he was able to think clearly, he still felt anger at the pokemon for tossing him out for dead. Mercurius returned to his base and confronted the pokemon, however the pokemon justified his actions. He explained to the Yanmega that it was his own desire that turned him back into a shadow pokemon, and he only gave him a push in the right direction. Mercurius recognized his own abilities from back then, and decided to work with his new boss to create more shadow pokemon for his boss’s purposes.

Trivia:

- tends to be playful and mischievous when speaking with the habit of saying "as if" or laugh

- Mercurius actually have 4 arms but keeps his bottom arms hidden to catch his opponent off guard

- when entering Hyper mode his tend to forget his own strength and laughs it off

- Mercurius is a 1st Generation shadow pokemon so that means he's only capable of doing Shadow Rush when using his Shadow move

- though he's a shadow pokemon again, he may sometimes cough up blood due to the side effects

For those who never played Pokemon Colosseum let me explain what Hyper mode is when a shadow pokemon emotions "rise to a fever pitch". Given it boost the crit rate of Shadow Rush there's many drawbacks unlike the 2nd generation Shadow pokemon from XD: Gale of darkness, if you wanna know more you can read about it here:
