Description

On April Fools, Bandai and Toei released a new 20th Digimon Adventure movie poster featuring Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon in the vein of their Sukamon Adventure pranks.

On the new Digimon Frontier CD Drama, the original Adventure Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon (reprised by their original Japanese seiyuus) had an extended guest appearance in the story (presumably as some sneaky 20th Digimon Adventure marketing).

So I wanted to fiddle with a little Shibuya Type Digimon action myself basing it on an infamous line in the original dub where they were sent to a dungeon rather than outright killed. (The dub doesn't really hide the fact the two were being mauled to death by Myotismon's bats despite this, but I digress).

This was originally going to be a much longer comic that showed them at Myotismon's castle, but I scrapped that aspect and just cut to the chase.

Either way, they're back for Zone! To distinguish themselves from others of their kind, they have 'scars' from when they fought Myotismon (missing their axe and ear and Pump's cape now more of a scarf).

I am apparently determined to make this ToyAgumon that's been following Dan around into a character an ally of the DigiDestined/Zoners during 02. I did have plans for a ToyAgumon spotlight episode for 02, so that might be feeding into it.
