It seems Eyesmon has an evolution line in the form of Orochimon as its Ultimate and now a canon version of Nidhoggmon as its Mega. The form was teased in the Next Episode trailer, and its definitely not what most of us were expecting. From Perfect Chaos to Dark Gaia, someone on staff really likes Sonic's more monstrous villains methinks.Related content

You know, the only thing I find unusual about this line is Orichimon serving as the bridge between Eyesmon and Nidhoggmon. Wouldn't it have made more more sense for Eyesmon to digivolve to Nidhoggmon directly? It wouldn't be the first time Digimon would've skipped DV stages if that happened. Then again, it's not like Orochimon's already had a designated DV line, so I suppose it's better than nothing.
