A general sketch of Venusmon's family. Her dad Valkyrimon and her older brother Nohemon.

Venusmon and Nohemon are the children of the legendary General Valkyrimon. A veteran and war hero of past conflicts, he was highly respected by many Digimon and was always there to lend a hand to his fellow Digimon. Like Nohemon and Dorulumon, he also fought in the Software Wars. Stern and focused on the job, he still found some time for his children. However, when the war against Bagra broke out, he was an instant target by the Three Head Generals, and taken out immediately. It was thought he was deleted, but in actuality he managed to escape, but his spirit was shattered. Unable to face those that looked up to him, he took refuge in a Xone, licking his wounds until he was stumbled upon by Xros Heart and Xone Liberation. His loyal bird companion Freyja stayed by his side, but does resent Valkyrimon gave up, and helps Taiki and Shoutmon get his confidence back. He throws his allegiance with Xros Heart, and like Beelzemon initially just came and went until the Death Generals' take over made him a permanent member.

Nohemon is the eldest sibling of the family. A bit of a grump because of the conflict he's participated in growing up, he does have a good heart deep down buried in his straw. He loves his little sister dearly, and it pained him to have to leave her in Sweets Xone to protect her as she was far too young and ill suited for the combat the Xros Wars were to bring. His oldest and closest friend is Dorulumon, though he's never been able to fully forgive the mutt for having sided with the Bagra Empire early on in its campaign. Nohemon is a talented archer, firing arrows with pin point accuracy. Unlike most Nohemon in the Network, the scarecrow and the crow are separate entities. The crow and Nohemon are at loggerheads, but neither can truly function without the other though. While overjoyed to reunite with his little sister Venusmon years later in the thick of the Bagra war, he was initially horrified at her weight gain, and chastised Weddinmon for not offering a more balanced diet. He joins Xros Heart after seeing how Taiki treated his team, and helped Taiki egg Dorulumon on in joining the group. He was initially distrustful of humans, seeing how ruthless Kiriha was, and how ... unusual Nene was. He DigiXrosses with Starmonz to gain a special bow and arrows.

Venusmon is a pacifist by nature, preferring to make love (and DigiBytes) over war. Venusmon decided to leave Sweet Xone and spread a message of good will and peace, trying to restore a war torn Digital World with her innate powers of love. She met her companions Olive the Bird and Hotan the Scallop during her travels, sharing her kindness and DigiBytes with the hungry Digimon, and in return they would help her in her quest. They are very over protective of Venusmon, and tend to fight on her behalf. They are extremely judgemental and picky towards potential allies, and aren't afraid to tell people off in contrast to Venusmon's more forgiving nature. Venusmon doesn't have much of a fighting instinct, but she has figured out how to weaponize her nurturing side in a variety of status altering moves that kill the enemy's own drive to fight. She surprisingly has a powerful pitching arm, which she can use to fling the Chrome DigiZoid coated Hotan as a projectile. Growing up in Sweets Xone, she had a steady diet of candy, owing to her corpulent size. Her best friend and adoptive sister is Weddinmon, the princess of Sweets Xone. It was Weddinmon who helped Venusmon embrace "big is beautiful" as Venusmon was initially self conscious about her appearance. She was immediately smitten with Dan upon seeing him in action, his kindness, bravery and love of his friends shining through in battle. Dan also treated her kindly and with respect, something her first encounter with humans didn't do. Evidently she tried making friends with Blue Flare and it went very poorly. She happily joins Xone Liberation, even offering some DigiMemories she had found as a peace offering (something she was going to do for Blue Flare too until Kiriha treated her poorly), and is generally the peace keeper of the group. She is very affectionate towards Dan, often Reloading herself to snuggle him, smothering him with her enormous body at inopportune times. Dan is embarrassed, but at the same time strangely finds her soft body comforting. When the rowdy Minervamon joined the team, Venusmon immediately took to becoming a "big" sister for a change.

All three have a fondness for Bird Digimon, and their bird familiars mostly get along with each other. Together, the three share an attack called "Birds of a Feather", where they launch their bird familiars to do major damage against foes.
