There are rumors that it could also be a Dynasmon that became exposed to the secretion Black Digitron, but there's little evidence to support it. Its powers have greatly increased since becoming a Virus type and has become totally merciless in battle. Among the Virus Empire, it is known as "The Black Wyvern Sword".

GrandBlastmon

A subspecies of Blastmon that evolved after being exposed to the unique energies of Beyond Network, which turned its diamond body into an unidentified alloy harder than any known type of Chrome Digizoid. Its obsessed with its strength and defence like other Blastmon are with their beauty. GrandBlastmon on the other hand is a humorless sociopath, in contrast to the bumbling, yet humorous, Blastmon. Its special attack is Armageddon Sonic, in where it vibrates portions of its body to unleash sonic booms capable of rupturing a Zone. In the Virus Empire, he is known as "The Eternal White Shield".
