I think wuality of this photo goes down a bit. Maybe it's because of the way the hair sort of whitens a bit...a bit too bright.

the posture...and the realism here is still just as striking. The fact that he's smoking does sort of lessen my emotions though. In many ways, I guess it's just the fact that he's given up. You've portrayed that very well here. his aimless look...his pusture...his angle. it's a nice close up too. gets all the details in very nicely. and great blurring of the background.

the reason this piece sort of makes me even annoyed is just how he's given up...how he's got nothing to look forward to...in a sense, I would say that is a bit of his fault. not completely, because it is a difficult world out there - I can understand that - but one always has to work.

you did a great job in terms of getting all his emotions out of him...both his point, and the other points other people could make. in one photo. that's great.

Wild. Very close. In your face. Through faith you move forward, hope that tomorrow will always bring new chances, and possibly a new world.

Quite a cool capture of humanity. I'd try to see what it gives in black and white, tho, hopeful to make it go easily thru the ages and that I see more good to be gained from the contrasting, sharper nature of b&w than the richness colours give to the textures, in this specific shot. Ah people: a thrilling subject. It's one of the many aspects of photography I have yet to explore.

gritty. When the picture was loading on myheadphones' page, it paused momentarily and the haircut made me think of Kurt Cobain. It turns out that the pictures subject is a little less popular, but decidedly as interesting.

Nice work.

Wonderful the way the bk is totally desaturated and the FG colors are complimentary but muted. Though I guess that's because of the team colors of whatever varsity jacket he's got on. But still, it's obvious you were shooting with very diffuse light and j=yet you achieved excellent contrast with little graininess.

KC was the first Ithought of, too. I think I will go shoot up now....

kurt cobain. i knew he faked his death man.
fukkin excellent shot tho. maybe its a bit presumptous to think he has nothing to live for. what would make you think that. unless you know him maybe.
great shot anyway
