Description "Safe? ... Who said anything about safe? Course he isn't safe. But he is good. He's the king, I tell you." -- C.S Lewis , The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

I am really enjoying the parallelism between the books and the Bible. No doubt Aslan is suppose to portray God. When I read the passage above, all I could think was 'Wow. That is so true of God.'

God is not safe in the sense that your life will be problem free and you will be sheltered forever. In fact, when following him, you are guaranteed to face many obstacles. For Christians, the world is not our home. So while we are on Earth, we will be persecuted and it will be hard. However, the obstacles and persecution that we face will build character. God is good and he'd never put us in situations too hard for us to handle. If it feels too hard, know that you're meant to overcome the obstacle with his strength. That will never change.  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. -- Romans 8:28

Oh my gosh, that is so touching ;w;  And it's so true how God is not safe.  He's a sovereign and just God, most definitely not some heavenly boyfriend who answers your prayers and winks at sin.  He takes sin very seriously, and Lewis portrays Aslan punishing sin, to each his own.  But afterwards, He always allows people to repent.  It's just really beautiful and grace is something I personally am still trying to comprehend ^^  This piece is absolutely lovely TT__TT

Yeah! I thought it was so beautiful how Aslan sacrificed himself for Edmund, and the girls were like, should we tell him?? But the truth is, we just don't understand how much he is saving us from. I also loved how the witch and her people were calling Edmund a traitor, and all Edmund wanted to do is keep his eyes on Aslan. Tbh, I Edmund was the worst, but now that I think about it, we are all Edmunds ;v;

Thank you!
