nooo just do tons of practise and such! i mean i started out just editing canon sprites to fit my trolls and kids and then i said screw that imma draw them myself. it's a lot of fun, you just have to practise a lot!
and shoot i need to work on horns for my cosplays... uAu!

Well, it seems that my attention span isn't big enough for me to practice unless i'm at school.
I just literally started making the horns. I have Crayola Air Dry clay, ue to not being able to find any other clay. So far i'v made Karkat, Sollux, and Nepeta horns. The Karkat and Sollux ones are for a couple friends, so i can get practice by taking requests for horns and chiz.

i've heard some good things about that, i use model magic myself, and then i did have a spackling or smth that i used to fill cracks that worked REALLY nicely. went on smooth and could be sanded as well. i made some terezi horns but turns out the mod podge i used is crap and peels ink off the plastic bag i laid them down on during my move. boo hiss so i gotta find a new sealing gloss and remake those, and make terezi, meulin, porrim and feferi/meenah horns. yahoo.

Wow. That must've sucked.
I have no idea what to do if they crack, but i have read that using wood filling or whatever helps quite a bit.

Honestly, I use [link] so i can find anything i need to know about who i'm gonna cosplay as. It's pretty helpful. I found a tutorial for a sickle made of cardboard, and mine came out pretty good until i sat on it trying to play Mario with my little sister.

Same here. It's, like, as if you don't have enough time for all the cosplays.
-shrug-
I found it rather useful.
