I was also thinking of Shakespear first but I guess it has nothing to do with the story.
The game Othello has black and white colored gaming pieces and since the characters seem to only be wearing these colors (at least it says so for one of them)I guess it refers to this because they are the opposite of each other in personality, like a contrast.

You should ^^ It's a really good game and the ending depends on how you play the game. The first one is for PS2 and there are psp versions OwO
