That angle on Sorrel's face is the kind where you don't know how it truly looks no matter how much you look it over lol.

Just another one of those for fun If my oc's could meet, what things would happen? drawings. Let me try to be as coherent and quick to the point as possible (no obligation to read this wall of text).

So Kaden introduced Sorrel to Jay and Dyami, bragging to them how smart his friend is. Jay smiled, getting a kick out of Sorrel's flustered reaction. Dyami however, immediately turned bitter and looked away. No one noticed except Jay, who remained silent.

Some time passes and it becomes more clear to Sorrel that Dyami barely acknowledges him when he's nearby and will often avoid not just talking, but being around him at all. Sorrel is completely puzzled because he never did anything that could of provoked such sour treatment...or at least he didn't think so.

Since Jay is obviously close friends with Dyami, and is sociable in Sorrel's presence, he asked him if he knew why his friend didn't like him. Jay made an accurate guess- Dyami experienced verbal and physical abuse from bullies, making him feel inferior, insulting his intelligence because they knew Dyami was already extremely insecure and struggled in school. To make matters worse, these fairies made higher marks then he did (Good as any time to mention this, but Dyami is one of my more sensitive characters- so add bullying to that and well...). So Sorrel unintentionally released insecurities all over again. Obviously, even so it wasn't right of the fairy to treat him like that, but that's what it was. However Sorrel, being understanding, asked if he knew of a way to change his mind. Jay and Sorrel hatched up an idea.

Sorrel cornered Dyami one day, asking for his advice on a subject. Dyami went from moody to completely stunned. Advice from HIM? The centaur said that Jay told him that he's an expert on bugs and plants, wondering if he knew of an alternative to protecting some new herbs he's growing from a type of insect without having to kill them. Dyami gave his thoughts on the matter, and it was a success. Sorrel was honestly impressed, sincerly thanking Dyami for his input and praised his impressive knowledge regarding plants and bugs. The fairy had no idea what to say, but it became obvious his view of Sorrel entirely changed, going from avoiding him to seeking him out much more often afterwards.

Here, Sorrel is making notes and Dyami joined him at some point, but it became harder to pay attention as the night grew old.
