Great idea! Personally, I've always wondered what would happen if the 11th Doctor and Clara mistook Elsa for the Great Intelligence.
If you don't know who that is, he's the main villian in "The Snowmen", and he too had the power to manipulate snow, except that the snowmen he created were designed to kill people.

I can send you a trailer for it. I know a good fan-made one that looks actually official, but here's a synopsis or whatever it's called.
(Synopsis: The Diclonius, a mutated homosapien that is said to be selected by God and will eventually become the destruction of mankind, possess two horns on their heads and have a "sixth sense" which gives them telekinetic abilities. Due to this dangerous power, they have been captured and isolated in laboratories by the government. Lucy, a young and psychotic Diclonius, manages to break free of her confines and brutally murders most of the guards in the laboratory where she is being held, only to be shot in the head as she makes her escape. She survives, falling off a cliff into the ocean and manages to drift along to a beach where two teenagers, Kouta and Yuka, discover her. Having lost her memories, she was named after the only thing that she can now say, "Nyuu," and the two allow her to stay at Kouta's home. However, it appears that the psychotic side of Lucy is not dead just yet... )

Also I hope you can stomach gore because there is kinda a lot in there. Well not every episode, but there is quite a bit of gore. Such as missing limbs, decapitation, that sort of stuff.

You know, for some reason I always found gore and blood in cartoons more disturbing than in live action. I guess it's because I got used to colorful, kid friendly cartoons, and once gore offsets that "kid friendly" atmosphere, it hits me like a hammer and makes me say "What the--?", but as long as gore has purpose for the story, it is easier to stomach.

One show I would suggest for you to check out would be TMNT cartoon series from 2012, and it just ended with it's third season. I am suggesting it because it has has nods to anime style, like exaggerated faces and emotions in certain situations, and the action is fantastic, as well as humor
I will have to check out One Piece, I always wanted to give it a shot
