Description Eep!
My first Private Exchange: what a blast!
*lynnwood had too many characters wonderful characters to choose just one, so I chose two. After much reflection, I decided on Hitohei Suzume and Kiyoshi Misao. Hitohei Suzume’s outfit just demanded to be played with and I wanted to draw Kiyoshi Misao the moment I saw him.

I originally was aiming for something more like a Japanese print, which didn’t happen at all. Not for lack of trying, I had lots of rather obnoxious problems, each and every one directly relating to my paper. This is actually the second version (or perhaps third, depending on your definition). Thankfully, I had the foresight to scan the second inked drawing before it became a muddy watercolor mess. Photoshop to the rescue. I took a different approach than I have been using recently, and I mostly like what happened.

The expression on the woman's face is priceless.

"What the...!?"

Gorgeous work though - whoever's characters these are, they're very lucky to have someone as talented as you to draw them.

Lovelyo work. ^^ <3

The use of negative space is very eye-catching and picturesque, kind of like those medieval paintings with the stiff poses and their oddly tilted heads, except I love how in this piece the movement is in their eyes. Beautiful coloring too!

That is so beautiful! Especially all the layers of Suzume's kimono- the fur looks amazing, and all the fabrics have actual weight to them.

Excellent work.

Wow, this is incrediblty gorgeous! I love the soft colors and her hair is beautiful. I love the hair piece designs. The fur, feathers and the gauzy fabric are incredible. I'm really digging that tree for some reason, and his armor is teh spiffy ^_^

This is so beautifull!!! The bg sets the mood wonderfully, the way it is all colored really gives you the impression that they're in that scene! Interesting character interaction and wonderful rendition of Lynnwood's cool characters :3

OMFG . . . . *dies* So friggin awesome. The outfits look really REALLY good, especially Suzume's. I really like their expressions too. I can just see him having saved her from some fate she got herself into, and he's like " . . . what are you doing outside the castle walls in the first place?" . . . and it's that moment of embarrassed silence where she doesn't know how to reply. Heheheheh. And 's to you for keeping their snowy setting in mind!

All in all this is FANTASTIC and I so totally thank you VERY much for doing such an awesome job. Excellent work for your first exchange! ^o^;;; for sure!

So you did redo it. I'm digging this verison more than the sketch I saw before, a lot more dynamic. I have no idea how people can color in photoshop, it baffles me.
