Description It had been about a week since your impromptu outing with the Thunder God, Thor. But you still saw plenty of him around Asgard. Ever since he'd invited you to visit Midgard with him, he'd been coming to see you every chance that he got. And you couldn't complain. You enjoyed his company very much, and it made you happy to know that he enjoyed yours enough to seek you out.

At the moment, you were wandering around some of the outer halls of the main castle, keeping yourself occupied. It was starting to get close to the time for the evening meal, and you hadn't seen Thor yet, which was strange. But you weren't bothered by it. He was a prince after all. But speak, or in this case think, of the devil and he shall appear.

"(Name)! There you are!" You turned around to see Thor running up to you.

"Hello, Thor. I was wondering where you were," you said, smiling at him. He grinned at you before slinging his arm around your shoulders and leading you back the way you came.

"My apologies. I have been busy discussing inter-planetary matters with my father. But I came to find you as soon as I was done."

"Oh please don't worry, Thor. I understand you're busy. I assumed you would be with your father, if I hadn't seen you until now."

"I appreciate your understanding, (Name). Truly, I am lucky to have met you."

"I am the lucky one, Thor. It is a great honor to be your companion, and I always enjoy our time together."

"Truthfully? That pleases me, (Name) and gives me courage to ask a favor of you."

"Hmm? What is it, Thor?" He stopped the both of you and turned to face you fully.

"Would you mind accompanying me on another trip to Midgard? I remember you said you enjoyed looking at the stars, and I thought perhaps I could show you some of the constellations the Midgardians study." You gasped and smiled widely at him.

"Oh I would love to, Thor! Are you sure I can come with you?" He laughed.

"Of course I am sure. (Name)! I would not ask you if I wasn't!" You could barely contain yourself in your excitement.

"Oh thank you, Thor! Thank you!" Forgetting yourself, you wrapped your arms around his waist and hugged him tightly. As you felt his arms encircle you, you could only sigh at the warmth. Then you realized that you were hugging the heir to the Asgardian throne and jumped back, blushing fiercely.

"P-please forgive me! I-I-I was so excited at the offer and I….I'm sorry!" You almost managed an escape but, to your surprise, Thor just pulled you back into another hug, laughing uproariously.

"Do not worry so much, (Name)! I do not mind a simple hug!" At that you sighed heavily in relief, causing him to laugh harder, and wrapped your arms around him again. You wouldn't say it out loud, but you could easily become addicted to his hugs.

After about a minute you pulled away and looked up at him.

"When were you thinking of us going to Midgard, Thor?"

"Perhaps right now, if you are willing. It is only early evening so we could bring some food with us, and find a place to eat while we wait for the stars to come out."

"That sounds lovely, Thor. Should I go change into anything in particular?"

"Wear whatever you wish. Perhaps wear something to swim in underneath your clothing though. There is a lake I wish to take you to."

"We'll be swimming? I love to swim. It's as though you know all of my favorite things, Thor." Thor laughed.

"Or perhaps I am just good at guessing. I am glad to know that you will enjoy our outing, (Name)."

"Well just let me go find some swimwear and I will be ready. Should I meet you at the bridge?"

"Yes. I will fetch our food and wait for you there." You nodded and hurried off to your rooms. Hurrying around your bedroom, you debated on what to wear before settling on the appropriate swimwear and a blue cottony dress. After dressing you made your way to the Rainbow Bridge where you saw Thor waiting. Smiling widely at you, he grabbed your hand and led you to where Heimdall waited to open the portal for you.

When everything wasn't a blur, you noticed you were in front of a large lake that was surrounded by a forest. The sun was just approaching the horizon.

"Thor, this place is beautiful."

"I'm glad you like it. Would you like to eat first or swim?"

"Let's eat. I don't want animals to get into anything."

"A wise decision," Thor said, laughing.

"Are you mocking me, sir?" you jokingly asked.

"Of course not, fair maiden! A man such as myself would never mock a lady such as you!" You giggled and took the basket of food from him to start setting up.

Thor watched you for a moment before going to help. He honestly had never been happier than he had been during this past week with you. To tell the truth, he had asked you to join him on that last trip to Midgard on a whim, but it turned out to be the best idea he'd ever had. You two got along so well, and he found himself thinking of you almost constantly. He had thought he'd been happy with Jane, but that happiness seemed so dim compared to now. Thinking of Jane made him think of the other reasons he was glad he'd chosen you. When Jane had ended things with him, he'd been devastated.  But thinking back on it, she had been right. It would have never worked. Living on two different planets made things extremely difficult. But you and Thor were both from Asgard. Another reason things were better with you was your immortality. It was never mentioned, but there had always been this hidden worry over Jane's mortality. She would have died rather quickly. You, however, would live just as long as Thor. Unless something got to you, which he would do everything in his power to prevent, you would live forever.

He became aware of his surroundings just in time to notice that the two of you had finished setting everything up and you were already sitting. He took a seat next to you and the two of you began to eat, quietly talking about whatever came to mind.

After eating and watching the sun sink further into the horizon, the two of you stripped down to your swimwear and got into the lake. You splashed each other and dunked each other. Thor took advantage of his superior strength and lifted you up to throw you into deeper waters. You took advantage of your sleeker frame to out-swim him in races you had with each other. Being so care-free made you feel like a child again.

When you both grew tired of swimming you got out and lay on a blanket to dry. It was now dark enough that the first stars were coming out.

Once more feeling a little bashful, Thor hesitated before reaching out and drawing you closer to him. You looked up at him with a blush.

"It will be easier to point out the constellations to you if you're closer to me."

"Oh. That makes sense," you said, looking back at the sky, feeling silly for being disappointed. Thor noticed the aloof-ness in your sentence and felt the need to add something to his statement.

"But also, I very much like having you near me." You were probably fuchsia right now, you guessed. Now you refused to look at Thor out of embarrassment, causing Thor to chuckle.

"So what constellations are there right now? Is it true that they change based on the season?"

"Yes it is. They are also different depending on what part of the world you are in."

"Really? Where in Midgard are we, then?"

"We are in their northern hemisphere, and since it's summer we'll be able to see Scorpius and Sagittarius. These are two of their 'Zodiac' symbols." While he told you this, he pointed to both as he said them. You gazed in wonder as he pointed out different constellations and told their names and some of their history. You never would have imagined that the Midgardians could come up with such fascinating lore. You were also greatly impressed with Thor's knowledge of it and told him as much.

"I appreciate your kind words, (Name). An…old friend, who is a Midgardian, taught me much about the lore of their sky." You noticed the hesitation in his sentence and realized he must be talking about that mortal female everyone at home said he had loved.

"Tell me more about…Hercalis?" Thor chuckled, seeing through your attempted subject change and appreciating the effort.

"You mean Hercules," Thor corrected you, before continuing on to explain the history behind Hercules's constellation. You were so interested in the story that you could only stare at Thor as he told it to you. He clearly enjoyed this tale himself because he started acting it out as he sat next to you, swinging his arm around to represent a sword fight, or putting an invisible enemy in a head-lock. After a certain point, you became more interested in just watching Thor enact the story and sat there smiling gently at him.

When Thor finished the story he turned to you and noticed you looking at him with a smile. He felt his face grow hot at the attention, but smiled back at you.

"Did you enjoy the story?"

"Very much. You seem to enjoy it as well."

"I do. It is one of my favorite Midgardian folk tales."

"To be honest, you remind me of Hercules in some ways, Thor," you said looking back at the sky.

"Is that so?" Thor asked, genuinely surprised.

"Yes. You're brave just like he is, and you care about the well-being of others. You put yourself at risk to protect those you care about, and don't let anything stop you." Thor beamed under your praise. It made him feel amazing to know that you believed these things about him. You looked at him a little mischievously.

"Although I have to admit. You're probably much better looking than he was." You started laughing at Thor's astonished face. That was probably the most forward thing you'd said to him since you met. After getting over the initial shock, Thor grinned at you.

"Do you really believe me to be good looking?" Hearing that made you blush.

"W-well, I mean……I hope I didn't offend you but……Well anyone would…" While you struggled to find the right words, you failed to notice Thor's face inching closer to yours. Your babbling was interrupted by Thor's lips on yours. For a moment you failed to respond, but when you realized what was occurring, you shut your eyes and kissed back.

Your moment of bliss lasted no longer than half a minute before you pulled away and met Thor's eyes. You didn't even get the chance to blush before his lips were on yours again, moving a little more surely this time, since he knew you wouldn't push him away.

Shyly, you rested a hand on his shoulder, a little unsure of just what to do. As if to make you feel more confident, Thor placed a large hand on the back of your head to anchor you to him. You had never done something like this before, but were surprised at how natural it felt with him. You felt his tongue run across your lips and instinctively opened your mouth to him. Your tongues danced together, creating a slow and sensual rhythm.

When you both felt a greater need to breathe, you parted. You gazed at Thor with a flushed face, eyes half-lidded.

"That was much more amazing than I could have ever dreamed." As he said that, your face grew redder.

"It…it was my first, so I cannot exactly say that I have had practice."

"What? You have never been kissed before?" Thor asked, astonished. You nodded, looking down in embarrassment.

"(Name), surely you jest. A woman as beautiful as you must have had men following you around like lost dogs."

"I-if that were true, I never noticed it."

"A humble beauty. But I admit I am pleased to have the honor of being your first." You smiled up at him as he wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you to his side.

"I couldn't have asked for a better person to share it with."

I agree with the person above me.I have searched HIGH AND LOW. XD And this is a very well-crafted story. I love how you handled the Jane situation, and made the reader an asgardian. Here, take the Internet. It's in capable hands.
