Description This is dymnd, Alpha release 0.9, almost ready for beta... gotta change quite a few things, still. Dymnd can be downloaded here: [link] -- dymnd requires Java to run. If you don't have Java, or don't know if you do, [link] is where you can get it. If anything doesn't work, please throw me a comment or a note (comment preferred). If you have any suggestions or requests, also feel free to post those, as well.

I already know that: The swatches don't have black or gray, some buttons don't do what their icon shows, and that layers are created in reverse order.

MOST IMPORTANTLY!!
Dymnd is networkable, you can connect two or more dymnd clients together and work on collaborative drawing together. Dymnd also comes with a dedicated server, and has /no limit/ on the number of users that may connect at the same time.

Eh, just to make sure that everything goes smoothly... Dymnd-painter (the software) is released under a GPL V3 license.

oh shoot, I lost that domain a while ago due to being...unavailable during the renew time =/ Now I've got it on sourceforge, [link] - the version on there is an old version I'm afraid, I need to get home so I can grab the new source code and finish it up.

Found this on FA. Very nice so far, I will be very interested in using it for paintchat with my friends!

Before I can consider using this program on a regular basis, I think that the layers need the ability to be transparent... and the key shortcuts need to work (manual erasing sucks!). A painty feel would be excellent, as well -- solid colors are fine and dandy, but if it's possible to code in a sort of opacity by pen pressure.. that would be super sweet.

What does the 4th tool do? the purple and blue icon?

I will see how this works with my friends.

Yeah, I'm still working on opacity - I've been having trouble with things overlapping. And the layers /should/ be transparent... I'll check on that. Does pen pressure work for you for the size of the brush so far? Also, I'm working on fixing that jitter on the brush. The button doesn't do anything yet, that's actually going to be the watercolor brush, once I get it working properly. Thanks for your interest! I'll keep working on it and get it working for you guys.

o.O - it has pressure sensetivity.. are you using a Wacom tablet? Also, did you plug the tablet in before or after starting Dymnd? Is the driver installed? I'm not sure why it wouldn't be working...

i use a digipro tablet and i used photoshop and gimp(both worked with the pressure sisitivity of the table) before trying your program

Ahh, I see. I don't know if it's caused by not having a wacom - the library I've been using for tablet stuff doesn't have the best documentation, sadly. I'll look into it.

I have looked into it a bit, but GIMP is written in C++, and Dymnd is written in Java. On top of that...GIMPs source code is quite complex.
