My entry for "Behind the Mask" contest. The idea was to make any heroes or villains from the the show without their typical uniform/clothing and place them in a casual everyday setting.

This pic was originally just going to be Raven, but I got an idea halfway through, and added BeastBoy as well. I put the two of them in an arcade (closer to BB's enviornment) because it's one of the most casual places for me, personally. Obviously Raven is hardly ecstatic to be there, but was no doubt dragged there by BeastBoy and probably only went along to keep him from begging and pleading. BeastBoy seems to be proving a point courtesy of the Love Tester.

I was going to make this scene like something out of an anime date game, where there are multiple options at the bottom of the screen, where you choose what happens next. But, I was unsure of what kind of look I wanted, so instead listed the options as thoughts brewing in Raven's head. BeastBoy's outfit I threw together at will. Raven's was semi spontaneous, going for something black and simplistic but with a little twist. The 2 games in the background are references from the show. BeastBoy's video game "Mega Monkeys 4" from "Crashed" and "Lone Samurai Journey" from "Masks" (I think. It was one of the titles BB suggested for movie night). I wanted to make the lighting a little darker to make it seem like someplace Raven wouldn't mind being in that much, but after a few attempts, I decided not too as it'd take away from too much of the detail I put into it.
