Endings are easier to write if it all truly does end. There are no paths unwalked or foods untried. It’s all just completely over. The apocalypse will be the end of this book. Perhaps it will be the end in real life too. If it is, no one will ever get to read this. Maybe I’ll be able to take it with me, and read it to Hays in Hell. Just a thought.
