nub is one of those words that can be either straight forward or illusive ... I guess it depends on the intended imagery. And me being me, weird, my first thought after reading from title to the last word ... was sex without the orgasm ... why, you may wonder, I have no earthly idea, perhaps this "poem" expresses, to me, someone who has done everything mechanically correct and still not reached their perception of climatic fulfillment.
