Haha I really like the muted colors! I have such a horrid problem with too many colors. XD
Also... KISS YOU GUYS ALREADY. This feels like one of those scenes where you are on your seat just waiting for it. XD

I love the colours! They look so warm and glowing. I really like the gold texture on her sleeve.

There are two things I would like to add to help you improve in these kind of pieces.
1. the woman isn't looking at the man, she's looking at something out of the picture, behind him.
There are some good tutorials about eye focus here, but can't really find them atm :/
In short, they eyes should be closer together so they would look to something right in front of her and not completely to the side of her.
They guy is still standing in front of her, isn't he.
If so, then they guy's head shot be a bit 3/4, but more towards the girl, so you could see more of the back of his head.
About the line art (the second part of the critique)
You have wonderful lighting in this piece. And it would be nice if you could blend it in into the outlining itself too. If you have a piece with all brown tones in it, it might be fun using dark brown line art. And when you've got something highlighted like the hair, don't be affraid to use alost white lines there.
I hope this helped.
