Hello there! you have requested a critique, yes?
Starters, my sister is a huge fan of this show, so I knew who these gals (and beasts) were right away, which is good since you are trying to capture them in a different species. While the majority of this image is great and highly recognizable, there are a couple of things that could use some adjustments:
In my honest opinion, I think each of the girls here should have their own ... body type? (I'm trying to find the right word, please forgive me). For example, Rarity is a fashion designer right? Well, to make her garg-self true to the shows character, she should have some volume in her waist, not too much though, since most models and such are thinner. Next off, Applejack is a farmer. Working on a farm builds a LOT of upper and lower body mass (muscle wise); so her gargoyle form should appear "larger" and "bulkier", thus making her a "warrior" like garg. Fluttershy, the only thing I have to say about her: since she is motherly, should have larger hips (that is just my opinion because I prefer to make my motherly characters posses larger "child bearing" hips). Now, moving on to Pinkie Pie. She eats a lot of sweets, but it balances out with all of that EXCESS ENERGY, but she should have a tiny bit of pudge, since sweets seems to be her main diet. I really don't have much to say about rainbow since her figure already appears athletic. I don't have much to say about twilight either because her body seems about average.
By the way, LOVE the beastie form!
I hope you find this to be a fair review e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you! And thank you very much for your critique!
I kinda wanted to reply with a new set of cleaned lines for everyone, but it's taking longer than I expected and I'm trying to not burn myself out on this and actually get them done, since I'm still happy with the idea.
I'm definitely glad that they're at least recognizable - since that's the first big hurdle to pass!
I agree with you that I haven't "exaggerated" their forms enough. I think I'm too used to making use of light-and-shadow light and shadow to build up bulk. I'm keeping Twilight "about average," or at least average on the Gargoyle scale, since they all tend to the more muscular end of the spectrum. Flutter is definitely getting a little fluffier... but I'm not as sure about how much to do that to Pinkie. She's already got a little tummy pudge, and I figure all that bouncing around would keep her fairly svelte. It's interesting finding happy medium with the roundness on Fluttershy - with Broadway as a template, it's not like one could say added weight is really going to mess with her flying, but I wouldn't want that as her "excuse" ... I read too much into things. I think I'm going to work on bulking up Apple's muscle mass with shadow first, see where that takes me, but I think she is going to bulk up some more. Dash, on the other hand, I keep wavering between lean-and-wirey and build-like-a-gymnist bulk. Rarity... it a puzzlement. I don't like drawing over-thin figures, which is probably evidenced by the arm-wing placement.
Spike-as-gargbeast just works too perfectly, doesn't he? hehe
Thank you again!
