Sorry for replying so late, but I basically screenshot while watching the movies, and save the pictures, then I go to the PAINT program and erase around the character (for this picture, it was Jack) and get rid of the background (eraser or white paint tool)...this only leaves the character in a white background. Save the picture as a PNG. Then I open the picture onto GIMP 2, pick the FUZZY SELECT tool, click the white background and press delete (will only delete if the image is PNG). This should leave nothing but the character in an empty background. Press save. Now to put the 2 pictures together... use either Open Office Draw or Microsoft Publisher to quickly arrange the background picture (the picture above with Rapunzel knitting) and I placed the edited picture in front of the background picture. Save again. I went back onto GIMP 2. The outline around the character in the edited picture will be a bit fuzzy, so I used the BLUR and SMUDGE tool to make it look as realistic as possible. Save it once more... and there you go. Sorry if it doesn't seem clear, but I can't explain any more than I did! Hope it helps! Xx
