I actually didn't care too much for the BBC Sherlock series myself when I saw the first episode. I'm a bit of a traditionalist I guess, and way back when I used to loooove the Granada series with Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwicke. I even have a letter and postcard from them that they were kind enough to send after I made a fan art piece for each of them (blush). I treasure those notes. True old-school gentlemen they both were.
Anyway needless to say I have loved the mythos since forever but the idea of updating it to the present at first seemed...very contrived to me. However, I am happy to admit I was wrong, wrong...the new series has totally won me over with the writing and acting, and how natural it seems for the tales to exist in this time. Once I shed a few tears at the most recent episode I knew I was hooked! Must get the whole set on dvd.

Of course there has been a whole bunch of interpretations of the Sherlock Myth onscreen , there's such endless possibilities ! And I think it's how you can tell how great a myth is , that it can actually so easily time travel
I wondered at first about the connection between Sherlock and the new technologies as well ... but right after I saw the first episode I was more than convinced that it could work just fine !
Of course the writing and the playing are incredible , and I'm developing such a crush on Benedict Cumberbatch right now that I can be classified as a #cumberbitch no wonder ! I'm doing another portrait of him right now , I'm so grateful for the Wacom tablet as an alternative now that my hands are not good enough anymore to do traditional work !
I really have to check out about your recent pieces of work love , I'm always short of time ( in and out the hospital for tests on drugs for my illness, but I'm used to it now , I manage just fine

Do you get PBS? That's where you'll find Sherlock right after Downton Abbey on Sunday nights. Season 3 is due to start here on January 19th of next year. Have you see Seasons One and Two yet? If not, I suggest you go to an HMV shop and purchase them on DVD.
Mr. Holmes will be getting his cheekbones rearranged at 10:00 pm on the evening of the 19th.
