tldr i got into vocaloid and kaito's my fav skdjfksdfsdk
ok i know it's not technically canon but i tried rendering a plastic-y texture on his scarf and uhhhh not sure how close i got but i looks kinda cool ig LOL and boy was it painful (not as painful as the hair,,,)

SO ANYWAYS here's the full story of how this happened if you want to read:
If you didn't know already, one of my goals this year is to get into amv making for my channel bc idk they look cool (and i also like suffering woo), and then I saw one of segamastergirl's tweets saying smth like why don't more people take inspiration from vocaloid pvs/mvs bc some are incredibly well made. So going off of that, one day I searched up vocaloid pv/mv on youtube on a whim and came across the Kagerou Days pv (which I absolutely love skfjsdk), but that video itself didn't really do anything to my interest. Then, sega made another tweet complaining about youtube taking down the original 50 chorus version of kagerou days (ripp), and in the replies, i found some reposts of that 50 chorus kagerou days and listened to it and gOD IT WAS SO GOOD. But again, that didn't really push me into vocaloid. Now here's when things started kicking off. Not much later, after talking about Kagerou Project for a bit, my best friend sent me one of her playlists with a bunch of japanese songs (and a bts song but we're just gonna ignore that,,) and I gave the whole playlist a listen. In particular, she recommended The Lost One's Weeping, which I ended up loving. From there I was like, HM I WONDER IF THERE ARE ANY GOOD NICONICO CHORUSES FOR TLOW?? Besides the normal niconico choruses, I ALSO found this volcaloid chorus that used...i think 28 vocaloids? and 7 utaus. The chorus itself...err wasn't the best quality, BUT they threw in a few solos/small groupings (duets/trios) in there and one of those happened to be kaito. Again in general, the sound quality was subpar so kaito's voices was distant and echo-y but even then, I'm gonna be honest, my first impression was that his sprite was pretty hot LMAO, but other than that I was like hey his voice is pretty decent too!! So yeah after digging wiki for a bit, I basically went on a kaito spree on youtube and now here we are. I originally thought that he was super underrated (still kinda is?) since yknow everyone only knows a few big name vocaloids like miku and the kagamines, but tbh you just have to do a bit of digging and let youtube algorithm do the rest and you'll find that there's quite a lot of originals and covers

i have a bunch of kaito fanart in my head and i'll try to get them drawn as time/hw allows :'''D (a lot of them are going to be specific songs/mv/pv fanart bc wow ppl make gorgeous designs for some of those)
