My first critique on DA.
I like the overall concept, but would have liked more contrast between the rock and background. There is so much brown and orange in both parts, that it doesn't give me that separation I would enjoy. I also might have liked to see a bit more texture to the ground and rock, which would also give contrast to the smooth skin and outfit of the subject, thusly pointing more at the subject as the focal point.
Lines are clean with pretty good weight, colors are clean and well put together. The cell shading effect works okay for this piece.
Overall, a very nice piece, but there are things that I think could make it stronger than what it is. Stand alone, this piece is strong on both lines and colors, and nobody would blink twice about just accepting it 'as is' with no need for tweaks, but then, good art is never finished.
