Description
Rough concept of a derelict spacecraft I'm hoping to take further some time. Part of my sporadic bouts of "man, I really do have to learn Painter one of these days...!". I'm rather happy about the lighting in this one. Obviously inspired by Aliens and other space movies I've seen through the ages, so no need to point out how this reminds you of every shot of a spaceship ever.

So is it floating through some space cloud dead, abandoned, because all energy generators had a cataclysmic failure, but in a cold war way, and that's a star in the background?

I feel it could use some more contrast and maybe a second much smaller, ship "discovering" the derelict. (like the humans discovering the wreck in Alien, or the Lois and Clark discovering the Event Horizon).
