I love the shading, the light falls perfectly, and even though his face is obscured, you can sense so much emotion from it. Damn you for being so talented LOL *I mean that in a nice way!* I love all your art! You are my new fav person to watch me thinks!

The lighting is just awesome - looks like there some sort of serious explosion going on behind him... one he likely caused. Heheh. I love the way you worked the shadows in the coat in a sort of horizontal line fashion - it realy gives the image allot of movement. And the smiley button has made my day.

your shadowplay stuff is really inspiring! I love the Smiley badge... Have you ever read or seen Watchmen (an older comic series) one of the characters always wore a smiley badge, I think he was named the comedian.

Freaking awesome. I'm awful with light/shade so this amazes me. Yowza. I especially dig the fine details around his face and accessories. Hehehe, the smiley button is a superb touch.

I was completely untrained with light/shade techniques a year or so ago too...then I read Hellboy and Sin City and thought "Hell no! I needs me some shade!" 'Tis a bitch to learn, but I think I am slowly but steadily learning something.

So simple...yet it's amazing how 3 colors can actually make me SQUINT at the brightness of the image, when in fact there's really nothing "bright" on the screen.

very nice, i have always loved your inking skills.
Only thing i see that may be changed, and it just might be me. under the left arm, not his left arm but his body area under it - maybe add more light and not so dark since his arm is kind of hanging outwards and because it looks as if the light is hitting him from behind. That whole bottom layer of his trench coat has a major light sorce coming at it.
Other then that, this is really really good. I love the detail that the shadows bring out on him. I want to see more of this!

cool, it looks like hes walking infront of a glowing light. You should grayscale it and get rid of those reds. Great job
