obviously inspired by a video by the cure...I was thinking of making something about robert smith a while ago.. (you can say its fanart)I like the color style of some of their videos.They mix black and white with a contrasting layer of moving colored abstractions..

I love the way you did the lighting! That really got my attention - I didnβt even look at the face, I just kept staring at his shirt lol. His hair is awesome; same goes for the colors β especially the use of red and blue, it's like they contrast and blend at the same time.
Seriously, itβs such an amazing drawingβ¦ Thumbs up

one of the reasons i love artrage is that it makes one really comfortable with the colors,its great for blending them. The read and blue light comes directly from the boys dont cry video..
I made it a bit surreal,the way it spreads over the shadow is a bit unnatural.. Still need to practice a lot..

Ah, I never notice things like that. I mean, I clearly remember the red hands and the creepy red eyes (and the kinky hairstyle ofc :> ) but I didn't notice the red & blue lighting in the video.
The surreal feeling is a plus actually, having in mind how offbeat Robert Smith and The Cure are

its what i like about them- their music and videos have an original,unique style that captures lots of different emotions visually in a beautifully abstract way.

I know exactly what you mean. In fact, it was the videos that really got me into The Cure cause when I first saw them, I was too young and stupid to actually enjoy their music
Iβm not quite sure if all these music videos were created following the bandβs own concepts but even if thatβs not the case, there are very few videos (and groups for that matter) that still manage to look creative 20 years after their debut; and The Cure are definitely one of the few that have somehow retained their influence.
