Description A lot of people have been comparing Trump recently to a certain Austrian corporal from the last century, but the more I thought about it, the more I saw the similarities to somebody else.

Not really a detractor of Trump's, though I know he can be obnoxious, arrogant, and crass - in short, a jerk. x3

if USA only would have stayed some hundred years more under british rule, maybe we all would be better off today
...
crassus was a gangster - getting rich in rome because his drilled troop of slave firefighters first put fire on the building he wanted to buy - then stood aside amd waited till the owner accepted the ridiculous low price crassus' agents offered to buy, then they started to tear down the ruins (to build a new building for plebs tenants sounds similar, no? crassus was a nero avant-lettre. and died like dog in syrian deserts. history repeats.
...
trump-the-monster - late offspring of a german immigrant called 'strumpf' )) who made his fortune as a brothel owner in klondike (!) - mr. trump being so ashamed about that he tried to deny his origins...

and hillary-the-killary? she'll be worse than crassus & messalina together, I fear.
...
btw: who whines about 'only speaking one lamguage (i.e. english)? the entire world understands english, boy! or go to neighboring (mind' -'boring' canada, or to australia, or england.

or be a hero: apply for political asylum in north-korea )

Heh, honestly, I've always had my heart either set on Austria or Bavaria, to be completely honest. No society is perfect, of course, but at least they seem to have better priorities than America as a whole.

I think I'll honestly move if he manages to get into office.  Or if people revolt over Clinton winning.  Either way, the wolves are frothing at the mouth.  They want "revolution" against Democratic "tyranny".  Between Trump's disturbingly successful hate rallies and the growth of the American "patriot" movement, I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to do things...  I'm honestly scared of the nation these people want to build.

Also, on a pc note, I've recently learned that the area we generalize as the Middle East is better generalized as the Near East.  Apparently the Middle East is a particular region, while the Near East is a catchall term for Muslim nations (North Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, etc.)

In my mind, the near east is anything that can be accessed in the Mediterranean that is below Spain (North Africa) extending into Turkey and the Levant. (Afghanistan and Pakistan are pushing "near" east. Hence I consider this the "Middle East". And then there is India, China, and Japan were of course are the "Far East".

I'm just saying that "Near East" seems to encompass both what you consider Near East, as well as what we generally assume is the Middle East.  It's an umbrella term, on top of being a definitive location.  I hate English sometimes...  If only there was a nice way to say "Muslim-esque nations" without implying they're all Muslim or all the same culture just because of their proximity to one another.

Well of course, that would be RACISM!!!!>:C

Also, to reply to your earlier comments, where exactly would you move to?

No clue, lol.  Speaking one language really limits my options.  On a brighter note, I should get my associate's this semester.

How are you?

Yes, I wanted to say. I've had that thought before and I always come back to the problem: if there just were more English speaking countries. x3

That's great! Congratulations, Robert.

I'm good. Are we still friends on Skype?

I actually don't know, lol.  I had to reinstall everything on my computer and didn't bother adding Skype.  I'll be honest, I've overheard my voice on Xbox speakers, and it's awful.  I'm really self-conscious about it now.

It's fine Robert, from what I remember. I've heard annoying voices before and yours is not one.

Eh, still...  I try modulating it, but no inflection makes it sound different.  It's just so... geeky.

I personally wouldn't mind seeing Trump's severed noggin being used as a prop in a play.

But if memory serves, Crassus was instrumental in putting down the Spartacus rebellion, so he did at least save the Romans from one crisis.

Yes, he did. But after his defeat of Spartacus, Pompey just returned from Spain and mopped up the rest of the slave rebellion and sent word to Rome that first that he had vanquished them. Pompey was awarded a full triumph, while Crassus wasn't - which smarted him indeed. As a way to "advertise" his victory though, he had some 6000 slaves crucified along the entirety of the Appian Way. Later to one up Pompey and win some glory for himself, he went to Parthia - which was at peace with Rome - provoked a war and arrogantly turned away the assistance of the Armenian King...and the rest is history. ^_^
