Description Okay okay. The EGL Alice thing is way overdone. But I thought I could do better than what I'd seen most people doing. So I sat down and started designing.

I really like this costume. I think it's super cute and I always wanted to be poofy and frilly! I love my bow the most. Lace and hand beading are worked into it. I wish I could have hand beaded into the costume itself too, but as usual I ran out of time. I also messed up the top a bit as well. I realized that anytime I use patterns for clothes to be worn on my torso, I need to add an extra 2" in length because I have a freakishly long torso and short legs. I'd totally not proportional. Since the top came up a little short, I had to make the skirt come up a little higher. The skirt came out okay, but I think I could improve better on the idea that I had originally. The main blue part ran a little too long, and the blue/white skirt underneath it isn't as full as I wanted.

I still would like to fix up this costume. And no wigs for me! Brunette Alice is just fine and dandy I think.

EGL means Elegant Gothic Lolita. It's a style of fashion made popular in Japan.

Okay thanks. Its just I've never heard of Elegant Gothic Lolita ever being shortened, I kinda had a feeling. I like lolita too. Its just that I had no idea what you were talking about XD

Those are one of the dresses that we all should love. *sight* the colours, the frills...so very cute and beautiful.
And the socks. They go so well with the shoes and the character (Shoes and character are the same thing, so says the cheese-commercial were I live). If you'd put on some more frill and such on the top of the dress, it would be even nicer in my option.
But a great job anyway. Make more please, for the good of mankind!

Wow, thank you for such beautiful comments! I only wish I had time to go back and redo older costumes. But your comments really keeps me happy and motivated to keep pushing myself.

The top actually would have been more frilly but there were some pieces I didn't get to finish before the convention. There were two arms pieces, it's hard to describe, but they would have added some more lace linings and ribbon and beadwork details into the top part of the dress.

I really have wanted to remake this. Since it's more of an interpretation and personal design than an accurate translation of a character. Hell, I've been meaning to just do my own designs for a while now but I find little time to do them in.

Sorry for the ramble. Your comments just made me pretty happy. Once again, thank you and hopefully I can make more nice things sometime soon.
