My New Year's artwork, although
it's many days late ahaha. Anyways,
I drew Josuke for it! I'm not satisifed
with the clothing folds (I'm never good
with drawing clothes ;w; ) but I'm happy
with how the hair turned out! And I
tried something different with lighting,
although it looks kind of weird? Ah well,
honestly this was just an experiment
and practice with lighting and a pose
since I always do portraits ahaha. I
hope to do more dynamic poses in
the future, this one is quite stiff.

Thank you so much!! I really do welcome criticism and feedback so it would help me a lot if you pointed the odd anatomy out! When I was drawing the pose I wasn't too sure about the arm length and hips tbh, and there's probably a bunch of other stuff I didn't catch on too!

Regarding what you said about dA, don't worry too much! Between the different platforms and the ever growing number of artists out there, it's hard to keep up with everyone. But I believe that in order to get closer to more people you need to do an effort first, so I try! Getting input and giving it back reminds me of the older days on the site and is way more fun/useful than focusing on numbers.

I only got into JoJo like last month tbh (i nosedived into it 8D) but I'm almost done watching all of the anime! I only have Part 5 left to go
It's really hard to say I have a specific favorite tbh cuz they're all great parts in different ways! (But Part 4 sticks out cuz I started on it and love everything about it)

I'd say that Part 5 is in my top 2, with Part 7 also being in my top 2. Personally, Part 5 has amazing battles and memorable characters, I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did! And yess Part 4 is just so great! Tbh Kira Yoshikage as an antagonist really sold it for me!
Do you plan on reading the manga after you finish Part 5? Or will you wait for anime adaptations?

I read some stuff on the wiki about it when I first got into it and the characters def stood out to me, but I've yet to actually see them in action.
Yesss I loved Kira as a villain tbh - horrible, horrible person, but he was really well done imo!

I know the Part 5 anime just finished like a year or two ago, so an adaptation for Part 6 is probably still a ways off... so I'm not sure. Maybe to finish off the 'set' (I know everything past Part 6 is a reboot, apparently) I should look into it?

Yeah Part 7 and 8 is just a separate universe from Parts 1 - 6 :0 There are some easter eggs to the previous universe but that's all there really is.
Definitely try not to search up about Stone Ocean because there are a lot of plot twists that you shouldn't spoil for yourself :0
Honestly Part 6's manga is a little difficult to follow with its art and stand fights so holding back for a Part 6 anime is not a bad choice ^^

Yeahh I think the only downside(?) now is I see JoJo literally everywhere I go. Like it has me wondering if it's always been there and I just never paid attention until now??? Kinda makes me feel like im being haunted 
But yeah, my friend hasn't watched Part 5 yet though so I'm trying REALLY hard not to spoil it for him!
Ahh I figuredd. I think I know more about Part 7 now than Part 6 tbh, cuz I looked some stuff up after I read a fanfiction and REALLY needed some context as to what the heck was going on hahaha (also because I started a drawing of Diego but shh)
But yeah, that exact reason is why I've been putting off playing a fangame for JoJo tbh - I read it has references spanning from Part 1-5 so I thought it'd be best to wait until I was done

When you say you see JoJo everywhere you go, do you mean like on a literal sense like 'oh that meme subtly references JoJo' or more like 'I see toothpaste and that reminds me of Rohan's hair' ahaha.
That's good on you, your friend will probably love Part 5 when he gets around to it

Yeah I don't blame you, I think the anime adaptations really heighten Araki's work to higher levels. Just with how the color schemes flow in the anime and obviously the animation, music, and voice acting makes the JoJo experience amazing! And the bad translations were pretty much only in the Part 4 and Part 5 manga. But then later they got better translations for those two, while the translations for Parts 6 - 8 are pretty solid and colored!

Oh, I mean I just see comments referencing it or using screenshots as reaction memes etc like literally everywhere. I was on a completely unrelated video once and by pure chance alone I looked at a comment thread, and someone had quoted an entire speech from Jojo, for example, hahaha ( Im never gonna unsee the toothpaste thing now, btw ;D )
But I DO see tweets of people in fun outfits and think 'they look like JoJo characters' now, so I'm at least at that stage :'D

Oh goodness, I've read..... so many fanfics tbh I couldn't even say. I'm sorry OTL (I only bookmarked a couple wholesome ones)
But no, not Eyes of Heaven, although you remind me I can go and watch a playthrough I had bookmarked of EoH now since I'm done the anime! No, this one's called '7th Stand User' and is like an alternate Part 3 plot (but it mashes up stuff from the others too) and it just really intrigued me! Naturally at the time I heard about it I wasn't done Part 3 so I've been holding off on it all month
(funny story, I found out about it via reading fanfics and coming across one I really liked based on the game's timeline thru the AO3 tags)
But yeah EoH def comes off as fanservicey (the guy I watched play it said the same) but like... sometimes you just crave that sweet, sweet content 8)
I def agree! I really enjoyed the anime - all the styles and effects and stuff! Gosh the voice work was great too. I'm blatantly biased but I didn't watch the dub for most of it HOWEVER Kira's english VA was extremely good imo. He really sells it and I'm very happy. (their VA choice for Jotaro in the Japanese dub is the best though imo - Daisuke Ono fits him like a glove) But yeah??? I def know Part 4's was like (infamously) bad at times (what a beautiful duwang), but honestly... that legacy though, hahaha
But I'm glad they got better though! Probably helps to have a period of time in-between them too to iron out the wrinkles, per se. Everyone translates slightly differently, I'm sure.
