In which I paint semi-realism for once!
Yep, I drew Lydia Deetz, specifically
the rendition of her from the Beetlejuice
musical portrayed by Sophia Anne Caruso!
I used a photo reference, but of course I
added my own flair with colors and all that.
This was pretty relaxing and fun to paint,
I'll definitely try doing more semi-realism
in the future!
And I'm still focusing on drawing JoJo,
so don't worry.

Oh my goodness!! I don't know musical, but I can say this is GORGEOUS. The semi-realism really mixes well with your style! If this is your first try of even close, I am astounded. Even if it isn't this is good! I particularly love how you did the hair (especially those amazing curls), face and the shading! Superb job, my friend! 😊
As for critiques... I think the eyes might be spaced out a tiny bit too far from one another, and the base of the neck looks a little off. I also think the choker and hair clip sit a bit awkwardly, since there is no subtle shading or anything making it look like it fits.
Overall, super good!! I love it! I would DEFINITELY love to see more semi-realistic pieces from you in the future, Bluvie. 😊

Ahh thank you so so much ;w; !!! I'm actually pretty happy with how the hair turned out so I'm glad you like the hair too!! And thank you for the criticism, I definitely think the choker and the clips feel out of place due to how it's not as rendered out, I'll keep it in mind in the future the next time I draw accessories!
