The collapsing building was distracting, but otherwise, yeah. XD

I read the title and wondered what it could possibly be referring to. Then I read the comic. XD
IT'S TRUE. You have to wonder where they got the weird super-vision ...
But yeah. Harumi's death.
Hooooooooh boy.Β

I'm trying my best! I haven't got my official rejection letter just yet. XP
I have no idea why they decided to space the buildings so far apart. So the colossus wouldn't be right atop Lloyd while the moment was happening? So you couldn't see the collapse close-up, and thus it was easier to hide the fact that Harumi was caught in it from the smaller kiddies?
But hooooooo yeah, it was a lot! Sure, make Lloyd silently watch his former crush's death. Sure, make 'em look each other in the eyes while it happens. Sure, don't give them a chance to get any closure. This show quit messing around, somewhere back there.

Eh, either way, don't check your mailbox. P:
Man, I dunno. Possibly. It still made the whole thing kinda weird.Β
Oh yeah, for REAL. It took me a moment to get what was going on, then I bolted upright and went "holy crap."Β
But for how jarring it was, I thought it was a good way to execute it. Kind of end her arc the same way it started, you know? With a collapsing building. And she's still given a little more depth than "remorseless villain" even though she didn't get redeemed or get any kind of real closure, but like ... how do you neatly close off what she's done at this point? Ninjago has a history of bringing back the dead characters, but even if I'm sad to see her go, I think this should be the end of the road. It just seems kinda fitting.Β

Why, are there spiders?
That it was. P:
Yeah, I was actually pretty surprised they chose to end it that way. They'd spent so much time establishing that she was utterly remorseless, even after all that touchy-feely stuff asking to be Garmadon's daughter; I wouldn't have expected that they'd try to bring her out on a sympathetic note. Surprised how far it succeeded, too.Β Though a part of me wonders, if it had been any other kind of emergency, not one that reminded her of her own past, would she still have helped? Does it count less if someone is only sympathetic to problems they can relate to?
So yeah. It was complicated, and yeah, I'd say she didn't make it all the way to "redeemed," but it was still a pretty good ending. I'd be okay with it, if that was the end of the line.
