Locality: Mex-Tex Mine, Socorro Co., New Mexico, USA

Very small, hexagonal crystals of teal blue spangolite lies on a sparkling bed of white quartz crystals. Amongst the spangolite are green tufts of brochantite as well. Spangolite is a copper sulfate mineral, and so is brochantite.

The field of view for this image is about 2 cm and it took 62 photos to stack for the final product!! The smaller the field of view, the more photos are required to stack for an appropriate depth of field.
