We don’t know what exactly Jet Jaguar was thinking, but it was perhaps a show of thanks for helping him fend off Megalon and the Seatopian Invasion of Earth. Even Godzilla was confused by the robot’s gesture as he ventured back into the sea.

Luckily, Jet Jaguar was unaffected and got rid of the high amounts of radioactivity Godzilla passively produces by the time he shrunk down to human size.
