I think this has ended up being pretty successful! The first things that I added to this one was the flowers around the hem of the tunic/dress, as I wanted the shadows to act realistically over the embroidery. I carefully built up the shadows on the Ghost, starting with some yellows before adding some hints of grey to give them a bit more depth. I could have made the additional arms and legs more amorphous, but they seem to work well enough here, as the seem to stand out enough from the background and the main set of limbs, so it's not too much of a worry here. I'm really happy with how the holly and the extinguisher have turned out here, as I think I've managed to include a decent amount of detail on such small objects, and with a medium that can be make it difficult to include such things. I went with some darker shades of green on the curtains, both to suggest a degree of expense to them, and to demonstrate that the scene is taking place at night. The jet of light from the head of the Ghost was another aspect that was hard to include, but it seems suitably supernatural, so I'm ok with the results here. On the whole, I think this one was a bit of a challenge to design, but it was a lot of fun to work on.
