Description Just an idea for a comic I came up with last night, so this morning I woke up and drew the cover. All the characters are people I know, like my cousins, uncle, etc....I have millions of Ideas in my head, so instead of drawing other peoples ideas like superman, or the hulk, its time I did something I came up with. Something I can relate to. Something that has something to do with the hood! Ya know!!!!!!

Looks promising! I think that your idea of including characters inspired by your family is a good instinct--they'll be more interesting, more believable, and you'll have plenty of real life stories to draw from.

I don't see many comics on the stands like this. I don't see many stories being told that take place in 'the hood' either, unless spidey chased some bad guy there--and in that case the writer probably only knows what he's read in comicbooks. So maybe it's about time!

I see you are a Joe Madureira, Humbreto Ramos wantabe. But that doesn't bother me. I wish to see more of Jim Lee' style in your work. If you see his work you will notice that he is able to express power and emotion through his work better then most artist. I think that why he became so famous. I think he was award first place for being the best arist in Wizard Magazine.


Any keep drawing also tell me if you get a gig in comics. So I can find your work and start collecting.

wow Alex, thats a really cool picture u did there, amazing design of each of the characters.

the big guy wid the dreads looks like a Humberto Ramos design [he looks a lil crazay].
i like the concept of u bring the hood to comic, sounds like sumthing i wuld be really interested in. I love the kid right in the front, reminds me of myself when I was lil n how I am now and the guy in the middle reminds me of my bro.

Right on. Always good to pan out your own ideas. When you do something like that you lose a lot of the influnences you might of had that were totally coomic related. You evolve into something new. Something that is more yours.
