Hey look! I posted something! Sorry for the absence. Life happens, you know? Anyway, truth be told, there were a lot more where these came from. I was honestly trying to go for more genuine expressions with this guy as opposed to the usual "I'm going to eat you" motiff that he always seems to have going on, because contrary to popular belief and how I tend to write him he's actually pretty expressive and surprisingly chatty at times, but after many, many (failed) sketches it seems that there's no escaping that with Ripslinger. It is simply impossible to draw this guy smiling without him looking like he's completely insane. It doesn't matter what expression he's making, the "you look delicious" is typically present in some shape or form, regardless of his intent. Even that one down at the bottom that I managed to get to come out half-way decent, he still looks like a total creeper. Otherwise, here's Ripslinger scowling and glowering from a bunch of different angles. Maybe next time.Related content

Yes, I've seen all of them. They may not be works featured in the Louvre, but they're not terrible, either. I meant the drawings and the description. You simply don't know what's going on in his head. Its hard to tell if he's saying 'i hate you' or 'i'm going to eat you.' Either way, he's a creeper, as you described.

Probably. You see they don't have hands, obviously, and so while the teeth are straight in the front, to facilitate speech, they become pointed and sharp toward the back of the jaws. They interlock perfectly when the mouth is closed, and so are used for holding (during mating or fighting) rather than chewing. It's a very macho, braggadocious thing for aircraft to emote so expressively to where the sharper teeth can be visualized.

Well that's just the thing; he does smile. A lot a actually. He's surprisingly charming and while he is very self-centered and arrogant he has this odd, rather amiable disposition that would make him remarkably pleasant company if it weren't for the fact that he's really not a very good creature at all. That undercurrent of dissent makes him very intimidating if not downright scary.
