And here she is! The conqueror of the Visorak, the mistress of the acid falls, and all that she already said.
The Makuta of the Tren Krom Peninsula: Gorast!
She is my fave Makuta, followed by Krika and Mutran.

Not really happy with the water, but you know, I barely draw it. Practice will come. Besides from that, I think it ended pretty well.

As suggested, next one will be Antroz! Leader of the assault team to Karda Nui. But as always, tell me who would you like to see after him!Β

This looks pretty badass. *EDIT* Looking at the photo further, I think going forward, that if you're going to put two giant rocks so much in the foreground before the subject, you might want to give them a bit more attention, maybe even go as far as to texture them so they look better for being closer up. If they're trees, the same would apply I think.

This is no reflection on your art, I just wanted to state that I was never too impressed with the later year Makuta. To me Makuta was always the big badass of Bionicle and that a race of them would equally be formidable. The later era Makuta all seemed like wusses to me. I thought the Piraka were more sinister and intimidating than these clowns. I felt like they were all hype and no bite. I mean they must not have been too imposing if Teridork was able to dispatch them so effortlessly, giant robot or not.Β  Maybe it's just cause the sets portraying them were so weak. As a MOCer and someone who always responded more to the sets than the story aspect, I think that might have a lot to do with it. What do you think?

Thanks! They are actually trees, butΒ yeah, I see your point. I'm always trying to improve my textures n' such.Β 

In my side, I always saw the later-2008 Makuta with a lot of potential, but never really got to give me enough meany feel as the Piraka did, for example. Even the Rahkshi.
I've never got to hold their sets in my hands, nor I am a very experienced MOCer, so I could not really talk about their strength in the sets. But as an story-follower, those specific three worked better as side-characters, more than villains, in my opinion (I'm looking at you, Krika). Like some sort of brain-washed entities with the mere purpose of completing Terry's plan.

Antroz and Icarax could have been the more imposing ones, from my view. But even with that, I enjoyed them back then, even with their flaws and so.

Okay, I figured, but wasn't 100% sure.

"Terry's plan." Yeah I definitely see what you mean. I saw the whole theme from both set and story perspectives. I always maintained that the physical build should uphold the story, and vice versa. As a MOCer i hate seeing "this is a super uber powerful dude and he is so strong and blah blah blah" with a really weak MOC attached to it. If I want a really big bad ass creature that could stomp on everything like a bug, I actually go build one. So the sets all felt like anorexic baddies that you'd swat around in a video game before getting to the big baddies like Terry. They felt like fodder when they kinda were, but kinda supposed to be more than that to. I think you're right though, I think as characters they had potential and if they weren't so easily dispersed I'd say they were worthy of the title "really bad guys."

Agreed about Ikaraxx. Mutrans was the evil doctor genius guy of Bionicle to. I always liked that about him, and even used that to my advantage in adding onto the bionicle canon with my own characters. In my story he created this thing Β and gave it to Remaku Β  when it didn't work the way he wanted it.

Yeah, even without enough experience with MOCs, I see and understand what you mean.
And that's the problem I see - Teridax. He was just so powerful and intelligent that you'd expect something more imposing and calculating from members of his species. Also applies for his build.
They all had personalities, and some background as well. They were enjoyable at some degree, but at the moment of villainy is where they mostly fail, in my opinion. And yeah, Mutran was pretty cool just for that! It gave many possibilities.

Makuta was a bit OPed though. He was like the bad guy in fan fiction that the writer never wanted to truly have lose until Greg had to actually end the series, then he kills him off with a bonk to the head. Granted, he did get bitch slapped with a planet, but I digress.

Exactly, they weren't really all that villainous enough. I wanna see like dead Matoran or something from more Makuta.

Yup. Of course, at that, then Krika's case could have been justified, but we still have 7 Makuta with that problem.
