I thought this was so pretty and was considering getting it done before i learned what it meant. Don't get me wrong, if people want that sort of relationship - more power to them! I, however, am quite monogamist.

Fair enough. Though it is a very obscure symbol, and personally I would adopt whatever symbols I enjoy to mean whatever I want to mean to me. I'd say if you like it, get it done - if anyone asks, you can just tell them it symbolises your infinite love for your loved ones
